  • 1 baguette
  • 2 servings pasta noodles
  • Generous amount bacon
  • Some button mushrooms
  • A little broccoli
  • Some whole garlic and minced garlic
  • 1 onion
  • Some milk
  • Some heavy cream
  • Some grated Parmesan cheese
  • Some chicken stock
  • Some seasoned salt
  • Some pepper
  • 1-2 Cheongyang chili peppers
  • Some cooking oil
  • Some parsley powder
  • Optional: steak for garnish

Recipe 🍳

  1. Cut off the top of the baguette and hollow out the inside cleanly. Bake in an air fryer at 170°C for 10 minutes to make it crispy.
  2. In a pan, add cooking oil, sliced onion, button mushrooms, and minced garlic. Cover and heat to steam with moisture.
  3. When the onions are soft and translucent, transfer to a blender. Add milk, heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, chicken stock, seasoned salt, pepper, and Cheongyang chili pepper. Blend until smooth to make the cream sauce.
  4. In a new pan, add cooking oil. Sauté bacon cut into bite-sized pieces, button mushrooms, broccoli, and sliced garlic until golden.
  5. When the ingredients are nicely sautéed, add the blended cream sauce, pasta noodles that have been boiled only halfway, and some pasta water. Simmer until the sauce reaches the desired thickness.
  6. Generously fill the crispy baguette bowl with the finished cream pasta, letting it overflow.
  7. Finish by sprinkling pepper and parsley powder on top. To enhance the plating visuals, add a grilled steak as a topping.
  1. Hollow out the baguette and bake in an air fryer to make the exterior crispy.
  2. Blend sautéed onions and mushrooms with milk, heavy cream, and Cheongyang chili pepper to make a spicy cream sauce.
  3. Sauté bacon and vegetables, then add the cream sauce and pasta noodles. Simmer until thick and fill the baguette.

Cooking tips 💡

  • Instead of just stir-frying the onions in oil, cover and steam them with moisture to infuse the sauce with their unique sweetness and umami.
  • If making the sauce from scratch seems too tedious, you can buy store-bought cream pasta sauce and just add finely chopped Cheongyang chili pepper for a great flavor.
  • Since the pasta will be simmered further with the sauce, boil it only halfway initially to prevent it from becoming too soft.
