  • Glutinous rice: 300g (2 cups by paper cup)
  • Water: 360ml (2 cups by paper cup)
  • Sugar: 2 tablespoons
  • Salt: 1 tablespoon
  • Mugwort powder: 2 tablespoons
  • Perilla oil: 1 tablespoon
  • Bean powder
  • Butter
  • Bread
  • Sweetened condensed milk
  • Almonds

Recipe 🍳

  1. Soak 300g of thoroughly washed glutinous rice for one day.
  2. Add the following ingredients to a pan and cook while stirring continuously. 1) 300g glutinous rice 2) 360ml water (2 cups by paper cup) 3) 2 tablespoons sugar 4) 1 tablespoon salt 5) 2 tablespoons mugwort powder.
  3. Once the water starts boiling, cover with a lid and simmer on low heat for 15 minutes.
  4. Add the cooked rice and 1 tablespoon of perilla oil to a blender and blend.
  5. Add bean powder to the blended rice and knead to make tteok (rice cake).
  6. Sprinkle bean powder and 1 tablespoon of sugar over the tteok to complete the injeolmi. 1) Bean powder 2) 1 tablespoon sugar.
  7. Add the following ingredients to a pan and grill until golden brown on both sides. 1) Butter 2) Bread.
  8. Place the injeolmi and sweetened condensed milk on top of the bread and cover.
  9. Top the bread with the following ingredients to complete the Injeolmi Toast. 1) Bean powder 2) Almonds 3) Sweetened condensed milk.
  1. Measure ingredients and prepare any necessary dough or cream first.
  2. Mix and cook or chill according to the steps to achieve the desired texture.
  3. Arrange toppings and shape for a visually appealing finish.

Cooking tips 💡

  • If you couldn't soak the glutinous rice, add 450ml of water (2.5 cups by paper cup).
  • Microwave the injeolmi for 20 seconds to soften it.
