- salt (a pinch)
- sugar (as needed)
- milk (as needed)
- 1 shot espresso
- ice (as needed)
Recipe 🍳
- Dissolve a small amount of salt in water, add the chestnuts, and soak for about 1 hour until softened.
- Using a knife, make a deep straight cut on the top of the soaked chestnuts.
- Place the chestnuts in an air fryer preheated to 190°C and roast for 30 minutes. Once golden brown, peel the skins off the roasted chestnuts.
- Put the peeled roasted chestnuts, sugar, and milk into a blender and blend until smooth with no visible particles.
- Transfer the ground chestnut mixture to a pan and stir well with a spatula over low heat until thickened to finish the chestnut spread.
- Layer the finished chestnut spread in a glass as desired, then add ice, milk, and a shot of espresso in order to complete the chestnut latte.
- Soak chestnuts in salted water for 1 hour, score them, then roast in an air fryer at 190°C for 30 minutes and peel.
- Blend roasted chestnuts, sugar, and milk in a blender, then simmer in a pan, stirring until thickened to make the spread.
- Generously add chestnut spread to a cup, then pour in ice, milk, and espresso to enjoy as a drink.

- Soaking chestnuts in salted water beforehand softens the hard shells, making it easier to score and separate the kernels cleanly.
- When reducing the chestnut spread in the pan, the bottom can burn easily, so it requires care to stir constantly over low heat.
