Seungwoo Dad's Budae Jjigae

A rich and hearty budae jjigae made by roughly chopping ham, dumplings, and green onions and simmering them in store-bought beef bone broth.

Ingredients needed 🛒3 servings

  • Spam 1 can
  • tofu 1/2 block
  • kimchi to taste
  • green onion 1 stalk
  • mandu 4-5 pieces
  • ramyeon sari 1 piece
  • store-bought beef bone broth 1 pack
  • budae jjigae seasoning paste to taste

Recipe 🍳

  1. Cut the Spam, tofu, and kimchi into bite-sized chunks.
  2. Cut the green onion into large pieces so it simmers slowly in the broth.
  3. Arrange the prepared ham, tofu, kimchi, and green onion neatly in a shallow pot.
  4. Add plenty of mandu to enhance the broth, and also prepare the ramyeon sari.
  5. Pour store-bought beef bone broth into the pot without making stock from scratch.
  6. Add the seasoning paste to taste, cover with a lid, and bring to a full boil.
  7. Once boiling, add the ramyeon sari and cook until the noodles are done.

  3. Add ramyeon sari and cook briefly until done.
