Ingredients needed 🛒1 servings
- pork neck 1~2 slices
- tomato pasta sauce as needed
- store-bought steak sauce as needed
- butter 1 tablespoon
- flour a pinch
- salt a pinch
- pepper generously
- vegetable oil a little
- rice 1 bowl
- cabbage salad a little
- fried egg 1 piece
- parsley powder or red pepper a little
Recipe 🍳
- Evenly coat both sides of the thick pork neck steak with salt, pepper, and flour.
- Heat a pan over high heat, add a small amount of vegetable oil, then sear the pork neck steak for 3 minutes per side, totaling 6 minutes.
- Lower the heat to medium-low, cover the pan, and continue cooking for 2 minutes per side, totaling 4 minutes. Then turn off the heat and let rest for 10 minutes.
- In the same pan used to cook the meat, add butter, tomato sauce, steak sauce, and pepper, then simmer until the sauce becomes thick and sticky.
- Slice the rested meat into bite-sized pieces.
- Place the sauce on a plate, then arrange the meat, rice, cabbage salad, and fried egg on top, and sprinkle with parsley or red pepper to finish.
- Season and coat the pork neck steak with flour, then sear in a pan and let rest.
- Use the same pan to simmer tomato sauce and steak sauce into a rich, thick sauce.
- Serve by placing the sauce on the plate, adding the meat and garnishes to complete.
Cooking tips 💡
- Always place the meat in a hot pan to ensure a crispy exterior and locked-in juiciness.
- Resting the meat for 10 minutes after cooking allows the juices to distribute evenly, resulting in a more tender texture.
