A spicy and tender kimchi jeyuk-style rice bowl made by putting onion, samgyeopsal, and kimchi with seasonings into a rice cooker and simmering with just one press of the cook button.

- Kimchi
- Onion
- Green onion
- Gochugaru
- Soy sauce
- Sugar
- Doenjang
- Rice syrup
- Minced garlic
- Water
- Egg
- Rice
Recipe 🍳
- Cut the samgyeopsal, kimchi, green onion, and onion into bite-sized pieces.
- Line the bottom of the rice cooker inner pot with sliced onion, then layer the samgyeopsal, kimchi, and green onion on top.
- Add gochugaru, soy sauce, sugar, doenjang, rice syrup, minced garlic, and a small amount of water as seasoning.
- Gently stir to mix the seasonings evenly, then press the regular cook button.
- While cooking, fry an egg in a pan for garnishing.
- Once cooking is complete, serve rice in a bowl, top generously with the braised kimchi samgyeopsal, and finish with the fried egg.
- Place prepared onion, samgyeopsal, kimchi, and green onion in the rice cooker in order.
- Pour gochugaru, soy sauce, doenjang, rice syrup, and water over the ingredients and cook.
- Top rice with the cooked kimchi samgyeopsal and a fried egg to finish.
Cooking tips 💡
- Adding a little doenjang completely removes the pork's gamey smell and adds a deep savory flavor.
- Layering onion at the bottom releases plenty of moisture during cooking, preventing the meat from burning.
