Recipe 🍳

  1. Cut the samgyeopsal, kimchi, green onion, and onion into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Line the bottom of the rice cooker inner pot with sliced onion, then layer the samgyeopsal, kimchi, and green onion on top.
  3. Add gochugaru, soy sauce, sugar, doenjang, rice syrup, minced garlic, and a small amount of water as seasoning.
  4. Gently stir to mix the seasonings evenly, then press the regular cook button.
  5. While cooking, fry an egg in a pan for garnishing.
  6. Once cooking is complete, serve rice in a bowl, top generously with the braised kimchi samgyeopsal, and finish with the fried egg.
  1. Place prepared onion, samgyeopsal, kimchi, and green onion in the rice cooker in order.
  2. Pour gochugaru, soy sauce, doenjang, rice syrup, and water over the ingredients and cook.
  3. Top rice with the cooked kimchi samgyeopsal and a fried egg to finish.

Cooking tips 💡

  • Adding a little doenjang completely removes the pork's gamey smell and adds a deep savory flavor.
  • Layering onion at the bottom releases plenty of moisture during cooking, preventing the meat from burning.
