Cooking tips

  • When making scallion oil, if the heat is too high the scallions will burn lightly and the oil won't absorb the aroma, so stir-fry gently over medium-low heat.
  • After adding chili powder, it can burn easily, so it's safe to briefly lower the heat or have the water ready to pour in immediately.
  • If desired, add soaked glass noodles or mung bean sprouts for an even more perfect yukgaejang appearance and texture.
