Ingredients needed 🛒1 servings
- 3 eggs
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 tablespoons cooking oil
- 1 bowl cooked rice
- 1 tablespoon gochujang
- seaweed flakes to taste
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- chopped scallions to taste
Recipe 🍳
- Crack 3 eggs into a bowl, add a pinch of salt, and beat well.
- Generously coat a pan with cooking oil and preheat over high heat for at least 1 minute.
- Pour all the prepared egg mixture into the heated pan.
- When the edges of the egg immediately puff up, gently push from the outside toward the center to make soft scrambled eggs, then transfer to a separate plate.
- Reduce the heat to low, add 1 bowl of cooked rice, 1 tablespoon gochujang, seaweed flakes, and 1 tablespoon sesame oil to the pan.
- Stir-fry gently over low heat, making sure the seasoning evenly coats each grain of rice without clumping.
- Place the finished gochujang fried rice nicely in a bowl.
- Top the fried rice generously with the previously set aside fluffy and moist scrambled eggs.
- Finish by sprinkling chopped scallions on top for a nice presentation.
- Beat the eggs with salt, make soft scrambled eggs over high heat, and set aside.
- Reduce the pan heat to low, add rice, gochujang, seaweed flakes, and sesame oil, then gently stir-fry.
- Place the gochujang fried rice in a bowl, top with the scrambled eggs and scallions, and serve.
Cooking tips 💡
- If eggshell pieces fall in while beating the eggs, use a spoon or another eggshell to easily scoop them out like a magnet.
- Preheat the pan over high heat until it just starts to smoke so the egg mixture puffs up as soon as it touches the pan.
- When stir-frying gochujang, if the heat is too high the seasoning can easily burn, so be sure to cook over low or gentle heat.
