Ingredients needed 🛒1 servings

  • 5 shrimp
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • A little ginger
  • 1 red chili pepper
  • A little cilantro
  • 1 tbsp curry powder
  • 100ml heavy cream
  • 1/2 lemon
  • Some olive oil
  • A little salt
  • A little pepper

Recipe 🍳

  1. Thread the cleaned shrimp onto skewers side by side.
  2. Slice the garlic, thinly julienne the ginger and red chili pepper, and finely chop the cilantro.
  3. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat, place the shrimp skewers, season with salt and pepper, and cook until golden brown on both sides.
  4. Once the shrimp are cooked, push them to one side of the pan or remove them temporarily. Add the sliced garlic to the remaining oil and sauté.
  5. When the garlic becomes fragrant, add the red chili pepper, ginger, curry powder, and heavy cream. Stir well to combine and bring the sauce to a simmer.
  6. Add the chopped cilantro and lemon juice to the sauce, then return the cooked shrimp to the pan, tossing to coat. Gently simmer over low heat.
  7. Plate by spooning a generous amount of the curry sauce onto a dish and arranging the shrimp skewers on top.
  1. Skewer the shrimp and prepare the garlic, ginger, red chili pepper, and cilantro.
  2. Sear the shrimp skewers in a pan until golden on both sides.
  3. In the same pan, make the sauce with garlic, ginger, red chili pepper, curry powder, and heavy cream.
  4. Add cilantro and lemon juice to the sauce, then simmer the shrimp together to finish.

Cooking tips 💡

  • Ginger has a strong pungent flavor and aroma, so adjust the amount according to your preference.
  • Using coconut milk instead of heavy cream gives a more authentic, rich Southeast Asian curry flavor.
