Ingredients needed 🛒2 servings
- short ribs 1 pack
- olive oil as needed
- minced garlic 1 tablespoon
- salt a pinch
- soy sauce 1 tablespoon
- katsudon sauce (or oyster sauce) 2 tablespoons
- sugar 1 tablespoon
- canned corn 1 can
- mozzarella cheese as needed
- cheddar cheese 1 slice
Recipe 🍳
- Soak the short ribs in cold water to fully remove blood, then pat dry thoroughly with kitchen paper.
- After drying, lightly sprinkle olive oil, 1 tablespoon of minced garlic, and a pinch of salt over the ribs for marinating.
- In a bowl, mix 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of katsudon sauce, and 1 tablespoon of sugar to create the homemade marinade.
- Coat the short ribs evenly with the marinade and place them in the air fryer to cook for 15 minutes.
- Meanwhile, heat canned corn, mozzarella cheese, and cheddar cheese together in a microwave-safe dish to make the corn cheese mixture.
- After grilling, apply any remaining marinade generously to the ribs, then briefly reheat in the air fryer before plating with the corn cheese.
- Remove blood from short ribs and marinate with garlic, salt, and olive oil.
- Apply a mixture of soy sauce, katsudon sauce, and sugar evenly to the ribs.
- Grill in the air fryer and serve with cheesy corn for a complete dish.
Cooking tips 💡
- Even without soaking in milk, thoroughly rinsing out blood and properly marinating with garlic and salt will prevent any off-flavors.
- If katsudon sauce is unavailable, oyster sauce makes an excellent substitute with equally delicious results.
