Ingredients needed 🛒2 servings
- pork loin, thinly sliced 250g
- cucumber 1 piece
- green onion 1 stalk
- chunjang 1/2 tablespoon
- oyster sauce 1 teaspoon
- vegetable oil as needed
- wheat pancakes as needed
- seasoning marinade (a little oyster sauce, starch or egg white)
Recipe 🍳
- Slice the cucumber diagonally into thin strips, and finely slice the white part of the green onion. Soak in cold water briefly to remove spiciness, then drain and pat dry.
- Toss the sliced pork with a little oyster sauce and starch (or egg white) to marinate lightly.
- Heat generous amount of vegetable oil in a pan, add the marinated pork, and stir-fry until the surface turns white. Remove and set aside.
- Add more oil to the same pan, sauté the finely chopped green onion until fragrant, then add chunjang sauce and oyster sauce, stirring to form the base flavor.
- Return the cooked pork to the pan and quickly toss over high heat so the sauce evenly coats the meat.
- Arrange cucumber and green onion strips around the edge of a serving plate, then place the stir-fried pork in the center.
- Serve warm wheat pancakes alongside, and wrap the pork and vegetables together in the pancake to enjoy.
- Prepare thin slices of cucumber and green onion.
- Marinate pork and lightly fry it in oil, then set aside.
- Sauté green onion in oil, then add chunjang and oyster sauce to make the sauce.
- Add the fried pork back into the pan, quickly toss with the sauce, and serve with vegetables and wheat pancakes.
Cooking tips 💡
- Coating the pork with starch or egg white before frying helps retain juices, making the meat much more tender.
- Using store-bought ready-made chunbing (wheat pancakes) greatly reduces cooking time.
