- square fish cake 3~4 pieces
- pickled vegetable sauce as needed
- red pepper powder 1 and 1/2 tablespoons
- dried anchovy kalguksu ramen 2 packs
- egg 1
Recipe 🍳
- Slice the square fish cake into long, thin strips for easy eating with the noodles.
- In a pan, sauté the fish cake, pickled vegetable sauce, and red pepper powder until well-coated and evenly seasoned, creating a spicy fish cake topping.
- Bring water to a boil in a pot and cook the dried anchovy kalguksu ramen according to the package instructions.
- Just before the noodles are done, beat the egg and slowly pour it into the broth, stirring to create soft strands.
- Transfer the cooked kalguksu to a bowl and generously top with the spicy stir-fried fish cake mixture to finish.
- Slice fish cake thinly and stir-fry with pickled vegetable sauce and red pepper powder.
- Boil the dried anchovy kalguksu ramen and add the beaten egg to cook through.
- Place the ramen in a bowl, top with the stir-fried fish cake, and mix before eating.
Cooking tips 💡
- The thinner the fish cake slices, the quicker the savory pickled vegetable sauce and spicy red pepper powder will penetrate.
- Since pickled vegetable sauce can vary in saltiness by brand, add it gradually while cooking the fish cake to adjust seasoning.
