- Beef brisket or beef short rib: 150g
- Onion: 1/2
- Oyster mushroom: 1 handful
- Minced garlic: 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce: 1 tablespoon
- Cocktail shrimp: 6
- Vietnamese chili: 4
- Milk: 1 cup (paper cup standard, 180ml)
- Whipping cream: 1/2 cup
- Store-bought mala sauce: 3 tablespoons
- Thin pasta (Capellini): 1-1.5 servings
- Salt: a little
- Olive oil: a little
- Chicken stock or oyster sauce: 1/3 tablespoon
- Parsley: a little
Recipe 🍳
- Add 150g of beef brisket to a pan and cook.
- Using beef short rib instead of brisket makes it even more delicious.
- Once enough fat has rendered from the brisket, add 1/2 sliced onion and a handful of torn oyster mushrooms.
- Add 1 tablespoon of minced garlic, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, and 6 cocktail shrimp on top of the vegetables, then stir-fry well.
- Add 4 Vietnamese chilies and stir-fry once more.
- Add 1 cup of milk (paper cup standard, 180ml), 1/2 cup of whipping cream (paper cup standard, 90ml), and 3 tablespoons of store-bought mala sauce.
- Once the sauce begins to boil, set it aside briefly and cook the pasta in a new pot. Add a little salt and olive oil to the water and boil the pasta for only 1-2 minutes.
- Do not cook the pasta completely; boil it for strictly 1-2 minutes.
- Using thin pasta makes it even more delicious.
- Immediately transfer the pasta to the mala cream sauce and stir-fry until the pasta is cooked.
- Sear beef brisket in a pan to render fat, then add onions, oyster mushrooms, minced garlic, soy sauce, cocktail shrimp, and Vietnamese chili peppers and stir-fry together.
- Add milk, heavy cream, and store-bought mala sauce to the stir-fried ingredients and boil to create a numbing and creamy mala cream sauce.
- Add slightly boiled pasta to the mala cream sauce and stir-fry until the pasta absorbs the sauce, completing the mala cream pasta.
Cooking tips 💡
- Since the mala cream pasta sauce contains milk and cream, reduce the heat to low immediately after it starts to boil and stir continuously to prevent separation.
