Ingredients needed 🛒2 servings
- Bread loaf: 1
- Butter: 4+ slices
- Condensed milk: 2 tbsp total
- Mayonnaise: 2 tbsp total
- Sriracha sauce: 1 tbsp
- Cheddar cheese: 1 slice
- Bacon: 3 strips
- Eggs: 2
- Milk: 90ml (1/2 cup by paper cup)
- Salt: a pinch
- Parsley: a pinch
Recipe 🍳
- Cut a bread loaf to the thickness of two slices, then cut it in half, leaving about 20% of the end intact.
- Melt a slice of butter in a pan over low heat and toast the bread slices until golden brown on both sides. When flipping the bread, add another slice of butter and continue toasting.
- For the spreadable sauce, mix 1 tbsp mayonnaise, 1 tbsp condensed milk, and 1 tbsp sriracha sauce. * If you don't have condensed milk, substitute with 1 tbsp sugar. * If you don't have sriracha sauce, you can substitute with 1 tbsp of hot sauce (like Tabasco) for a spicy kick.
- Spread the prepared sauce evenly on the inside of the toasted bread slices.
- Place 1 slice of cheddar cheese inside the bread.
- Melt a slice of butter in a pan and fry 3 strips of bacon until crispy. Fold each strip in half and place them inside the bread.
- Whisk together 2 eggs, 1/2 cup milk (90ml by paper cup), and a pinch of salt until the eggs are fully beaten. Milk adds a soft texture to the eggs, so it's essential for achieving fluffy scrambled eggs.
- Melt a slice of butter in a frying pan and pour in the beaten egg mixture to make scrambled eggs. Pour all the egg mixture at once, then gently push the edges towards the center with chopsticks as it cooks. When about 80% cooked, gather the eggs to one side with chopsticks to form a clump, then place it between the bread slices. Slightly undercooking the eggs will enhance their fluffy and soft texture.
- Cut a thick slice of bread into two halves, butter both sides, and toast until golden brown.
- Spread a sauce made from mayonnaise, condensed milk, and sriracha on the inner sides, then top with cheddar cheese and crispy bacon.
- Make scrambled eggs in a buttered pan and place them between the bread slices to finish.
Cooking tips 💡
- For Egg Drop Toast, pour the egg mixture into a buttered pan and cook until only 80% set, then scramble to achieve a fluffy and soft texture.
