Ttukdak Hyung's Dakkochi Teriyaki Deopbap
A super simple deopbap dish using store-bought frozen dakkochi, stir-fried with scrambled egg and crunchy onion in a sweet and savory sauce.

Ingredients needed 🛒1 servings
- 2~3 store-bought frozen dakkochi
- Cooking oil, as needed
- 1~2 eggs
- 1/4 onion
- Oyster sauce, as needed
- 1 bowl of rice
- Mayonnaise, as needed
- Scallions, as needed
Recipe 🍳
- Lightly oil a pan and pour in the eggs to make a soft scramble. Set aside in a bowl.
- Remove the skewers from the frozen dakkochi and separate the meat. Cut into bite-sized pieces. Slice the onion into strips.
- In the same pan used for the eggs, add the prepared chicken, sliced onion, and oyster sauce. Stir-fry until the onion becomes translucent.
- Place the scrambled egg and stir-fried chicken and onion on top of a bowl of warm rice.
- Drizzle mayonnaise in a zigzag pattern and sprinkle with chopped scallions to finish.
- Make scrambled eggs in a pan and set aside in a bowl.
- Stir-fry the dakkochi meat and onion with oyster sauce in a pan.
- Top rice with the eggs and stir-fried mixture, then drizzle with mayonnaise and sprinkle scallions.
Cooking tips 💡
- If the dakkochi are frozen solid, briefly microwave them to thaw before stir-frying to save time.
- For a thin, even drizzle of mayonnaise, put it in a corner of a plastic bag and snip a tiny hole to pipe it out.
- If desired, a little gochujang or wasabi can cut through the richness of the mayonnaise.
