Ingredients needed 🛒2 servings

  • sea bream 1 piece (cut into chunks)
  • starch 3 tablespoons
  • chili peppers 10 pieces
  • green onions 2 stalks
  • vegetable oil as needed
  • soy sauce 3 tablespoons
  • cooking wine 2 tablespoons
  • sugar 1.5 tablespoons
  • water 3 tablespoons

Recipe 🍳

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, cooking wine, sugar, and water thoroughly to make the teriyaki sauce.
  2. Coat both sides of the sea bream chunks evenly with starch, then gently shake off excess.
  3. Remove stems from chili peppers and set aside; chop green onions finely.
  4. Heat a pan and add vegetable oil, then place the starch-coated sea bream in and pan-fry on both sides until golden brown.
  5. Once the sea bream is fully cooked, pour in the prepared teriyaki sauce and begin simmering.
  6. When the sauce starts boiling, add the chili peppers and continuously spoon the sauce over the fish to create a glossy finish, then sprinkle with chopped green onions to complete.
  1. Mix the sweet-savory teriyaki sauce.
  2. Coat sea bream with starch and prepare chili peppers.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and fry sea bream until golden.
  4. Pour in sauce, simmer, then add chili peppers and green onions to finish.

Cooking tips 💡

  • Coating sea bream with starch prevents it from falling apart and helps the sauce adhere well.
  • Poking small holes in chili peppers with a fork allows the seasoning to penetrate deeper.
