Cooking tips

  • If you don’t pre-drain the tofu, excess water will keep leaking out during simmering, leading to diluted seasoning and easily broken tofu.
  • Turning off the heat when adding seasonings prevents red pepper powder and gochujang from burning too quickly due to high heat.
  • Before adding water, thoroughly stir-fry the pork and seasonings over high heat to eliminate raw odors from gochujang and red pepper powder, enhancing depth of flavor.

Recommended for

  • Those who prefer thick, rich-textured sundubu dishes over watery stews.
  • People looking to make a savory pork and chili oil-based side dish for rice.
  • Those wanting to enjoy the creamy texture of soft tofu enhanced by the crunchy bite of finely chopped vegetables.
