Ingredients needed 🛒2 servings
- thick-cut pork belly 150~200g
- soft tofu 1 pack
- onion 1/2
- green onion 1/2
- pine mushroom 1 pack
- soy sauce 1 tablespoon
- anchovy sauce 1 tablespoon
- oyster sauce 1 tablespoon
- sugar 1 tablespoon
- red chili powder 2 tablespoons
Recipe 🍳
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce 1 tablespoon, anchovy sauce 1 tablespoon, oyster sauce 1 tablespoon, sugar 1 tablespoon, and red chili powder 2 tablespoons to make the all-purpose seasoning sauce.
- Spread half a sliced onion and large pieces of green onion evenly across the bottom of a pot or deep frying pan.
- Cut the soft tofu pack in half and slice into thick pieces, then place them on top of the onion and green onion layer.
- Place 150~200g of thick-cut pork belly around the tofu, generously wrapping it.
- Pour the prepared all-purpose seasoning sauce evenly over the ingredients.
- Cover the pot and simmer over medium heat until the meat is fully cooked.
- Once moisture from the tofu and vegetables has released and the broth becomes thick, add the chopped pine mushrooms and continue cooking until the steam subsides.
- When the pork is fully cooked and the broth has reduced to a desirable thickness, sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds to finish.
- Mix soy sauce, anchovy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and red chili powder to create the all-purpose seasoning sauce.
- Layer onion, green onion, soft tofu, and thick-cut pork belly in a pan in order, pour the seasoning sauce over, cover, and cook.
- After the ingredients release moisture and the broth thickens, add pine mushrooms and toasted sesame seeds and cook briefly.
Cooking tips 💡
- Since no pastes are used, the broth remains clear and fresh without any greasy or heavy aftertaste.
- The soft tofu and vegetables naturally release plenty of moisture, so there’s no need to add extra water—this results in a thick stew-like consistency.
- Check the seasoning during cooking; if too bland, cook a bit longer to reduce and concentrate flavors; if too salty, add a small amount of water to adjust to taste.
