Ingredients needed 🛒1 servings
- Plenty of parmesan cheese powder
- 2 string cheeses
- 1/4 can Spam
Recipe 🍳
- Thinly slice the Spam, then julienne it, and finally dice it finely crosswise.
- Thinly shred the string cheese lengthwise.
- With the heat off, spread the parmesan cheese powder evenly across the bottom of a dry frying pan without any oil.
- Evenly spread the shredded string cheese over the cheese powder.
- Evenly scatter the finely diced Spam among the cheese.
- Now, turn the gas heat to very low and let it sit until the string cheese is completely melted.
- Once the cheese has melted into a cohesive mass and the bottom is golden brown, optionally sprinkle more parmesan cheese powder on top, then turn off the heat to finish.
- Eating it hot allows the cheese to stretch smoothly, while letting it cool slightly makes the bottom crispy like scorched rice, which is even more delicious.
- Finely dice the Spam and thinly shred the string cheese.
- Spread parmesan cheese powder in a dry pan, then layer string cheese and Spam.
- Cook over very low heat until the cheese is fully melted and the bottom is crispy.
Cooking tips 💡
- The parmesan cheese powder acts as the dough as it melts, so you need to spread it generously on the pan bottom without any gaps to prevent it from tearing.
- If the heat is too high, the bottom will burn before the cheese melts properly, so be sure to cook over very low heat from start to finish.
- Spam and cheese release enough oil on their own, so there's no need to add extra oil to the pan.
