Ingredients needed 🛒1 servings
- fried chicken (about 350g of chicken thigh meat)
- milk 1 cup (paper cup size, about 90–100ml)
- chicken stock 1/3 tablespoon
- potato starch 1/3 tablespoon
- sugar 1/3 tablespoon
- red pepper powder 1/3 tablespoon
- yellow sliced cheddar cheese 2–3 slices
- pepper to taste
- parsley powder to taste
Recipe 🍳
- Prepare crispy fried chicken with excess oil drained.
- Pour 1 cup of milk into a clean pan, then add 1/3 tablespoon of chicken stock and 1/3 tablespoon of potato starch.
- Add 1/3 tablespoon of sugar and 1/3 tablespoon of red pepper powder, place 2–3 slices of yellow cheddar cheese on top, and sprinkle a little pepper.
- Over low heat, stir slowly until the cheese is fully melted and the sauce thickens due to the starch.
- Once the thick tumbar sauce is ready, add the prepared chicken to the sauce and mix thoroughly, or pour the sauce over the finished chicken and finish with parsley.
- Prepare pre-fried crispy chicken with a chewy interior.
- In a pan, add milk, chicken stock, starch, sugar, red pepper powder, cheddar cheese, and pepper in measured amounts.
- Simmer gently while stirring until the sauce becomes thick, then mix in the chicken and toss evenly.
Cooking tips 💡
- The potato starch must be well mixed into the milk beforehand to prevent clumping, as it creates the creamy texture similar to heavy cream.
- For a stronger spicy kick that cuts through richness, consider adding chopped green chili or peperoncino.
