Ingredients needed 🛒2 servings
- 2-3 slices of bread
- some Vienna sausages
- a little leftover vegetables (onion, carrot, etc.)
- some ketchup
- a little sugar
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
Recipe 🍳
- Finely chop leftover vegetables such as onion and carrot, and Vienna sausages with a knife.
- Lightly oil a pan and stir-fry the chopped ingredients. Add ketchup and sugar to make the filling.
- Cook until the moisture evaporates so the filling won't make the bread soggy, then let cool.
- Trim the tough edges of the bread slices with a knife, then use a rolling pin to flatten them thinly.
- Place a generous amount of the cooked sausage filling in the center of each flattened bread slice.
- Thoroughly brush the inner edges and surface of the bread with beaten egg.
- Fold the bread in half to form an envelope shape, then press the edges firmly with a fork to seal and prevent leakage.
- Place in an air fryer and cook until the surface is golden brown and crispy.
- Finely chop vegetables and sausages, then stir-fry with ketchup and sugar until dry to make the filling.
- Trim the edges of the bread, flatten with a rolling pin, add filling, and brush edges with egg wash.
- Fold in half, press edges with a fork to seal, then air fry until golden brown.
Cooking tips 💡
- When stir-frying the filling, do not use oligosaccharide or corn syrup as they add moisture and make the bread soggy; always use sugar and cook until completely dry.
- When sealing the bread edges, apply enough egg wash and press firmly with a fork to prevent the pie from bursting in the air fryer.
