Ingredients needed 🛒2 servings
- 150g pork for jajjabe
- 2 bell peppers
- 1/2 onion
- 1/2 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1.5 tablespoons oyster sauce
- a pinch of black pepper
- 2 tablespoons cooking oil
Recipe 🍳
- Cut the bell peppers in half, remove the white inner flesh and seeds cleanly, then slice into uniform pieces.
- Slice the onion into pieces similar in size and thickness to the bell peppers, and set aside for cooking.
- Heat a pan and add cooking oil, then stir-fry the prepared pork until it turns white and fully cooked.
- Once the pork is partially cooked, add a small amount of soy sauce to give the meat a glossy, appetizing sheen and aroma.
- Add the prepared onion and bell peppers all at once to the pan, and stir-fry over high heat until they blend smoothly.
- Add oyster sauce and black pepper to adjust seasoning, then turn off the heat just as the vegetables retain their crisp texture.
- Clean out the cores of the bell pepper and onion, then cut them into uniform slices.
- Heat oil in a pan, stir-fry the pork until browned, then add soy sauce for flavor.
- Add the onion and bell pepper, then quickly stir-fry over high heat with oyster sauce and black pepper until well combined.
Cooking tips 💡
- To prevent excessive moisture loss from the vegetables, maintain high heat throughout the entire cooking process and stir-fry quickly from start to finish.
- For added richness, you can include shiitake mushrooms, enoki mushrooms, button mushrooms, or shrimp based on personal preference.
