- 1 onion
- Ground pork, as needed
- Basil, a pinch
- Oregano, a pinch
- 1~2 bay leaves
- Sugar, a pinch
- Canned whole tomatoes
- Chicken stock, as needed
Recipe 🍳
- In a preheated pan, add finely chopped bacon and diced onion and sauté together.
- Sauté until the onion turns a golden brown (caramelized) color, bringing out its natural sweetness and flavor.
- Add the ground pork and sauté until fully cooked.
- Once the meat is cooked, add basil, oregano, and bay leaves for flavor, then crush and pour in the sugar and canned whole tomatoes.
- Add a small amount of chicken stock for extra umami and mix everything evenly.
- Reduce the heat to low and simmer gently for about 1 hour, stirring occasionally, until the sauce becomes thick and rich. Finish.
- Sauté bacon and onion in a pan until caramelized golden brown.
- Add ground pork and sauté, then add basil, oregano, bay leaves, sugar, whole tomatoes, and chicken stock.
- Simmer on low heat for about 1 hour, stirring to prevent burning, and finish.
