  • 1 onion
  • Ground pork, as needed
  • Basil, a pinch
  • Oregano, a pinch
  • 1~2 bay leaves
  • Sugar, a pinch
  • Canned whole tomatoes
  • Chicken stock, as needed

Recipe 🍳

  1. In a preheated pan, add finely chopped bacon and diced onion and sauté together.
  2. Sauté until the onion turns a golden brown (caramelized) color, bringing out its natural sweetness and flavor.
  3. Add the ground pork and sauté until fully cooked.
  4. Once the meat is cooked, add basil, oregano, and bay leaves for flavor, then crush and pour in the sugar and canned whole tomatoes.
  5. Add a small amount of chicken stock for extra umami and mix everything evenly.
  6. Reduce the heat to low and simmer gently for about 1 hour, stirring occasionally, until the sauce becomes thick and rich. Finish.
