  • Whole peppercorns: 1 tablespoon
  • Pork belly: 600g
  • Cooking oil: 1 tablespoon
  • Water: 720ml
  • Gochujang: 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce: 2 tablespoons
  • Cooking wine: 2 tablespoons
  • Corn syrup: 2 tablespoons
  • Sugar: 1 tablespoon
  • Whole garlic: 200g
  • Sesame seeds
  • Sesame oil: 1 tablespoon

Recipe 🍳

  1. Lightly grease a pan with cooking oil and sear the 600g pork belly until golden brown on all sides.
  2. Prepare the dashima pack with the following ingredients: 1) 1 piece (5g) ginger 2) 3 bay leaves 3) 1 tablespoon whole peppercorns.
  3. In the same pan used for searing the pork belly, add all the following ingredients, season, cover, and simmer over medium heat for 25 minutes: 1) 720ml water (4 cups by paper cup standard) 2) Dashima pack 3) 2 tablespoons gochujang 4) 2 tablespoons soy sauce 5) 2 tablespoons cooking wine 6) 2 tablespoons corn syrup 7) 1 tablespoon sugar 8) 200g whole garlic.
  4. Remove the pork belly, then mash the garlic in the remaining sauce with a spatula to create the sauce.
  5. Thinly slice the cooked pork belly, arrange it on a plate, and finish by drizzling with the sauce, sesame seeds, and sesame oil.
