Ttukdak Hyung's Euljiro Golbaengi Muchim

A spicy and refreshing Euljiro-style whelk salad made by mixing whelks, sliced green onions, and dried pollack with a spicy chili paste.

Ingredients needed 🛒2 servings

  • Whelk 600g (based on 2 cans * 300g)
  • Whelk 300g : 2 cans
  • Whelk liquid : 3 tbsp
  • Julienned green onion : 100g (a large handful)
  • Onion 1/2
  • Dried pollock : a handful
  • Gochujang : 2 tbsp
  • Gochugaru : 4 tbsp
  • Plum extract : 4 tbsp
  • Vinegar : 4 tbsp
  • Oligosaccharide : 2 tbsp
  • Minced garlic : 1 heaping tbsp
  • Perilla oil : 2 tbsp
  • Sesame seeds : to taste
  • Somen noodles : 1-2 servings

Recipe 🍳

  1. In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients below and mix well so the seasoning is evenly distributed.
  2. 100g julienned green onion, cut into bite-sized pieces
  3. 1/2 thinly sliced onion
  4. 600g whelk, cut in half
  5. A handful of dried pollock soaked in whelk liquid
  6. 2 tbsp gochujang
  7. 4 tbsp gochugaru
  8. 4 tbsp plum extract * If plum extract is unavailable, it can be substituted with 3 tbsp sugar.
  1. In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients below and mix well so the seasoning is evenly distributed.
  2. 100g julienned green onion, cut into bite-sized pieces
  3. 1/2 thinly sliced onion
  4. 600g whelk, cut in half

Cooking tips 💡

  • The seasoning can easily burn if stir-fried over high heat for too long, so coat it quickly at the end.
