- bamboo tube
- cooking foil
- soybean paste 3 tablespoons
- minced garlic 2 tablespoons
- honey 1 tablespoon
- oyster sauce 1 tablespoon
- green onion 1 stalk
- green chili pepper 2 pieces
- leftover soybean paste marinade
- gochujang 1 tablespoon
- ground red pepper 1 tablespoon
Recipe 🍳
- In a bowl, combine soybean paste 3 tablespoons, minced garlic 2 tablespoons, honey 1 tablespoon, oyster sauce 1 tablespoon, green onion 1 stalk, and green chili pepper 2 pieces. Mix well to make the soybean paste sauce.
- Generously coat a strip of pork belly with the prepared soybean paste marinade, then place it into the bamboo tube.
- Seal the opening of the bamboo tube with cooking foil, then steam in a steamer for about 50 minutes.
- Remove the pork belly from the bamboo tube and slice it into bite-sized pieces.
- To the leftover soybean paste marinade, add gochujang 1 tablespoon and ground red pepper 1 tablespoon to create the spicy gochujang sauce.
- Coat another strip of pork belly generously with the finished gochujang marinade, then place it back into the bamboo tube.
- Marinate a pork belly strip in a mixture of soybean paste, garlic, honey, and other seasonings, then steam it in a bamboo tube.
- Slice the steamed pork belly into convenient eating-sized pieces.
- Prepare a spicy gochujang sauce and serve it alongside for a bold, fiery kick.
