This Man's Cook Dasima Twigak

A super simple traditional side dish made by cutting dried kelp into bite-sized pieces, frying them until crispy, and sprinkling with sugar while still hot.

Ingredients needed 2 servings

Recipe

Cooking tips

  • Kelp burns very quickly even with slight overheating, turning bitter, so remove it immediately as soon as it puffs up.
  • If sugar is sprinkled after the fried kelp has cooled completely, it will not stick to the surface, so be sure to add the sugar while still hot.
  • If moisture remains on the kelp, the oil may splatter dangerously during cooking, so never wash with water and only wipe with a dry towel.

Recommended for

  • Those who want to make a quick and easy side dish using leftover dried kelp at home.
  • Those who want to make a healthy, crispy traditional snack for their children.
  • Those looking for a super-fast recipe that takes only 10 minutes without complicated ingredients or seasonings.
