Solo Cooking God's Ubu Bibimbap

A tangy, sweet, and savory bibimbap made in just 5 minutes without the hassle of assembling individual ubu sushi rolls

🙋 Recommended for

  • Those who love the tangy-sweet flavor of ubu sushi but find it tedious to fill each roll with rice individually
  • People needing a 5-minute, high-impact meal during hectic morning routines before work

Ingredients needed 🛒1 servings

  • store-bought ubu sushi kit, 1 serving (seasoned ubu skin, mixed vinegar sauce, seasoned fried flakes)
  • instant rice 1 bowl
  • gochujang 1/3 tablespoon
  • mayonnaise 1/2 tablespoon
  • canned tuna 1 tablespoon
  • egg 1 piece
  • black pepper a pinch

Recipe 🍳

  1. Warm up instant rice or white rice and place it in a generously sized bowl suitable for mixing.
  2. Pour the tangy liquid sauce (mixed vinegar) and colorful seasoned fried flakes from the ubu sushi kit directly onto the rice, adding them generously.
  3. Add 1/3 tablespoon of gochujang for spice to balance richness, and 1/2 tablespoon of mayonnaise for creaminess.
  4. Mix thoroughly with a spoon so the seasonings evenly coat each grain of rice.
  5. Remove the pre-seasoned seasoned ubu skin from the kit and finely chop it on a cutting board into small, thin pieces. Spread them generously over the rice.
  6. Place 1 tablespoon of drained canned tuna in the center of the bowl.
  7. Fry an egg in a pan until golden brown, then place it on top of the dish where space is left. Sprinkle a little black pepper on top to finish.
  1. Mix warm rice with ubu sushi mixed vinegar sauce, fried flakes, gochujang, and mayonnaise until well combined.
  2. Top the rice with finely chopped ubu pieces and canned tuna.
  3. Cook an egg to your preference, place it on top, and sprinkle a little black pepper before enjoying.

Cooking tips 💡

  • No need to add beef or pork toppings—thinly sliced, sweet-savory seasoned ubu mimics the chewy texture of meat, offering a satisfying bite that feels almost like eating meat.
  • Perfect for busy mornings or when you're too tired to cook after work; this recipe takes less than 5 minutes and delivers maximum taste efficiency in one hearty bowl.
