Solo Cooking God Garlic Pork Pasta

A fusion Korean pasta that harmoniously combines spicy stir-fried pork with crunchy, aromatic fried garlic and pasta noodles.

🙋 Recommended for

  • Those looking for a spicy, familiar Korean-style pasta instead of traditional cream or tomato-based pastas
  • Fans of dishes that maximize the pungent aroma and savory depth of garlic

Ingredients needed 🛒1 servings

  • beef-style pork 200g
  • pasta 1 serving
  • whole garlic 1 handful
  • green onion 1 stalk
  • onion 0.5 piece
  • green chili pepper 1 piece
  • vegetable oil generously
  • gochujang 1 tablespoon
  • oyster sauce 1 teaspoon
  • sugar 1 teaspoon
  • red pepper powder 1 teaspoon
  • pasta water 3~4 teaspoons
  • salt a pinch
  • parsley powder a pinch

Recipe 🍳

  1. Slice the whole garlic into thin pieces, separate the white and green parts of the green onion and chop finely. Slice the onion and mince the green chili pepper.
  2. Boil the pasta in a pot of vigorously boiling water with a pinch of salt until al dente, then remove and set aside. Reserve a small amount of the pasta water.
  3. Heat vegetable oil generously in a pan, add the sliced garlic and fry until golden brown and crispy, stirring continuously. Remove the garlic and set aside separately.
  4. In the same pan with the remaining garlic oil, add the white part of the green onion, 200g of pork, and 2 teaspoons of minced garlic. Sauté slowly until the pork is fully cooked.
  5. Add the prepared onion, green part of the green onion, and minced green chili pepper. Stir in 1 tablespoon of gochujang, 1 teaspoon of oyster sauce, 1 teaspoon of sugar, and 1 teaspoon of red pepper powder, and cook until the sauce is well incorporated.
  6. Add the reserved pasta and 3–4 teaspoons of pasta water, mixing thoroughly to ensure the sauce evenly coats the noodles without drying out.
  7. Transfer the pasta and stir-fried pork to a serving bowl, top generously with the previously fried garlic slices and a sprinkle of parsley powder.
  1. Cook the pasta and set it aside, reserving some pasta water.
  2. Fry the garlic slices in oil until crispy, then set them aside. Use the garlic oil to sauté the white part of green onion, pork, and minced garlic.
  3. Add onion, green chili pepper, gochujang, oyster sauce, sugar, and red pepper powder to make the stir-fried pork sauce, then combine with the pasta and reserved pasta water.
  4. Top generously with the fried garlic and serve.

Cooking tips 💡

  • When frying the garlic slices, continuously shake the pan over medium heat to prevent burning—this ensures a crisp texture without bitterness.
  • Any thinly sliced pork cut such as shoulder, leg, or thin bacon will work well for this dish.
