Ingredients needed 🛒1 servings
- cabbage 1 head (1 slice from center section)
- mozzarella cheese 1 handful, generously piled
- butter 1 tablespoon (about 15g)
- salt a pinch
- pepper a pinch
- parsley powder a pinch
Recipe 🍳
- Wash the cabbage thoroughly, then cut it into thick, steak-like pieces, keeping the whole head intact without making it too thin.
- Insert toothpicks around the edges of the sliced cabbage leaves to keep them from separating during cooking.
- Melt butter in a heated pan, place the prepared cabbage on top, and lightly sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cook until golden brown on both sides.
- Once the cabbage is tender and soft, pile generous amounts of mozzarella cheese on top, cover with a lid, and melt the cheese over low heat.
- When the cheese is golden and smoothly melted, transfer to a plate, remove the toothpicks, and sprinkle with parsley to finish.
- Cut cabbage into thick, whole pieces and secure with toothpicks.
- Heat butter in a pan, place cabbage on top, season with salt and pepper, and cook.
- Top with mozzarella cheese and melt, then remove toothpicks and sprinkle with parsley.
Cooking tips 💡
- High heat will burn the outer surface while leaving the inside undercooked, so use medium-low heat for even, gentle cooking that brings out the natural sweetness throughout.
- For safety, always remember to remove the toothpicks before eating.
