- Spam 1/2 can
- Eggs 3
- Rice 1 bowl
- Perilla leaves 2-3 leaves
- Chopped danmuji 2 tbsp
- Seasoned salt a pinch
- Sesame oil 1 tbsp
- Cooking oil a little
Recipe 🍳
- Using a potato peeler (slicer), slice the Spam into long, thin strips and set aside.
- Beat 3 eggs with a pinch of seasoned salt, heat oil in a pan over low heat, and cook a thin egg crepe on both sides until done.
- To warm rice, add finely chopped perilla leaves, chopped danmuji, a pinch of salt, and 1 tbsp sesame oil. Mix well to make seasoned rice.
- Place the egg crepe on a cutting board, layer the cooked Spam slices and the seasoned rice on top, then roll tightly. Cut into bite-sized pieces.
- Thinly slice Spam with a peeler and cook thin egg crepes.
- Mix rice with chopped perilla leaves, danmuji, salt, and sesame oil to make seasoned rice.
- Place Spam and rice on the egg crepe, roll tightly, and slice into bite-sized pieces.
Cooking tips 💡
- If it's difficult to slice the Spam evenly with a knife, use a potato peeler to easily and perfectly make thin slices.
- If your child dislikes the distinct flavor of perilla leaves, chop them very finely and mix into the rice—they'll enjoy it without fuss.
