Ingredients needed 🛒3 servings

  • radish 1/3 of a medium-sized one
  • sesame oil 3 tablespoons
  • salt a pinch
  • minced garlic 1 tablespoon
  • beef dashi 1 tablespoon
  • monosodium glutamate 2 pinches

Recipe 🍳

  1. Slice the radish into slightly thick matchsticks to maintain a satisfying crunch.
  2. Heat a generous amount of sesame oil in a pan and add the sliced radish, spreading it out evenly.
  3. Sprinkle a light amount of salt over the radish to help release its moisture and stop further cooking.
  4. Once the radish begins to turn slightly translucent, reduce the heat and add minced garlic, beef dashi, and monosodium glutamate for seasoning.
  5. When the radish releases its juices, increase the heat again and stir-fry briefly to evaporate excess moisture, finishing the dish.
  1. Cut the radish into slightly thick matchsticks.
  2. Add a generous amount of sesame oil to a pan and stir-fry the radish.
  3. Sprinkle a little salt to stop the cooking process, then lower the heat.
  4. Add minced garlic, beef dashi, and monosodium glutamate to season.
  5. Once the radish juice comes out, raise the heat and stir-fry quickly to finish.

Cooking tips 💡

  • For best results, avoid slicing the radish too thin—thicker pieces hold up better during cooking and won't break apart easily.
  • Use plenty of sesame oil to enhance the rich, nutty flavor and maximize the sweet, savory aroma of the dish.
