  • 15-20 chicken wings (drumettes and flats)
  • a pinch of seasoned salt
  • generous amount of cooking oil
  • 1/2 green onion
  • 1 handful of sliced garlic
  • 2-3 tbsp mala sauce
  • 2 tbsp corn syrup

Recipe 🍳

  1. Season the chicken wings evenly with a pinch of seasoned salt, then place them in a single layer on the air fryer basket.
  2. Air fry until golden brown, flipping halfway, until the wings are crispy and the oil has rendered out.
  3. Heat a generous amount of cooking oil in a pan. Once hot, add chopped green onion and sliced garlic, and stir-fry until fragrant.
  4. When the aroma of scallion and garlic rises, add the mala sauce and stir gently to prevent burning.
  5. Add the crispy air-fried chicken wings to the pan and toss to coat evenly with the mala seasoning, simmering while flipping.
  6. Once fully coated, pour in the corn syrup and toss over high heat to create a shiny glaze.
