Recipe 🍳
- Dice the onion finely, slice the lettuce thinly, and cut the tomato into slices.
- In a bowl, mix ground beef with chili oil, salt, pepper, and soy sauce to marinate.
- Combine tomato sauce and mayonnaise to make a custom taco sauce and set aside.
- Spread the marinated ground beef evenly and thinly over the tortilla, pressing firmly to adhere.
- Place the tortilla on a preheated medium-hot pan with the beef side down, and cook until the beef is fully done.
- Flip the tortilla and place cheddar slice cheese, tomato, pickle, sliced lettuce, and diced onion on top in order.
- Sprinkle the prepared taco sauce evenly and fold the tortilla in half, then cook both sides until crispy.
- Cut into serving-sized pieces and transfer to a plate to serve.
- Chop onion, lettuce, and tomato; mix tomato sauce and mayonnaise for the sauce.
- Marinate ground beef with chili oil, salt, pepper, and soy sauce.
- Spread the beef thinly on the tortilla and cook from the beef side in a pan.
- Flip the tortilla and layer cheese, tomato, pickle, lettuce, onion, and sauce on top.
- Fold in half and crisp both sides, then cut into portions to finish.
Cooking tips 💡
- Spread the meat as thin and even as possible on the tortilla so it cooks uniformly and doesn’t separate during frying.
- Place the cheddar cheese directly on top of the cooked beef so residual heat melts it smoothly and helps it stick well to the vegetables.
