Cooking tips

  • When frying tofu, using only perilla oil can cause it to burn easily, so always mix it half-and-half with cooking oil to retain the nutty flavor without burning. Adding tofu to cold oil before heating prevents splattering.
  • Stir-frying saeujeot with the seasoning paste first eliminates any fishy smell and infuses the broth with deep umami.

Recommended for

  • Those who want a dish that serves as both a satisfying dinner and a great drinking snack.
  • Those who want to recreate at home the deep, rich broth of tofu stews or hot pots enjoyed at street food stalls or restaurants.
