Cut or tear the washed bomdong into bite-sized pieces and place in a pot.
Finely chop the large green onion and add to the pot.
Add a generous 2 tablespoons of minced garlic.
Add 3 heaping tablespoons of doenjang.
For a spicy kick, finely chop the cheongyang chili peppers and add to taste.
Pour in the water and turn on the heat.
Bring to a boil and simmer thoroughly until done.

Add the minced garlic, doenjang, and cheongyang chili peppers in the specified amounts.
Pour in the water, bring to a boil, and simmer thoroughly to finish.
