Recipe

Wash the radish thoroughly, peel off the skin, and slice into half-moon shapes about 1.5cm thick. Cut the tofu in half, then slice into even pieces about 1cm thick.
Heat a small amount of oil in a frying pan and pan-fry the tofu on both sides until golden brown and crisp to prevent crumbling.
Slice half an onion finely, and chop the green onion—both white and green parts—into thin strips, preparing a handful’s worth.
In a bowl, mix together soy sauce 7 tablespoons, red pepper powder 2 tablespoons, gochujang 1 tablespoon, sugar 1 tablespoon, minced garlic 1.5 tablespoons, tuna sauce 3 tablespoons, sesame oil 1 tablespoon, and black pepper 4 pinches. Stir well to make the seasoning mixture.
Lay the sliced radish tightly and evenly across the bottom of a stew pot. Pour half of the prepared seasoning mixture over the radish, spreading it evenly. Then add all the sliced onions on top.
Carefully pour 600ml of water around the edges of the pot, cover with a lid, and bring to a boil over high heat.
Once the broth is boiling vigorously, reduce the heat to medium and cover again. Simmer the radish for 20 minutes until soft and fully cooked.
After 20 minutes, remove the lid and place the golden-brown fried tofu evenly and flatly on top of the cooked radish.
Spread the remaining half of the seasoning mixture evenly over the tofu surface, then generously sprinkle the chopped green onion on top.
Cover the pot again and continue simmering over medium heat for another 15 minutes, allowing the stew to thicken and become sticky and rich.

Slice radish into half-moon shapes and pan-fry tofu on both sides until golden and crisp.
Mix soy sauce, gochujang, tuna sauce, and other seasonings; add radish, half the seasoning, onions, and water to the pot. Simmer over medium heat for 20 minutes.
Place the fried tofu on top of the cooked radish, add the remaining seasoning and green onion, then simmer for 15 more minutes to finish.
