Add 2 bowls of cooled rice and 3 liters of water to the electric rice cooker, and mix thoroughly to prevent the rice grains from clumping.
Place 3 packs of malt oil tea bags into the rice cooker and set it to 'warm' mode for 5–6 hours to ferment the rice.
Once about 7–10 rice grains float to the surface, remove the tea bags and transfer the rice and fermented liquid into a large pot.
Peel the skin off 2 pieces of ginger and slice them thinly.
Add the sliced ginger and 15 spoons of sugar to the pot and bring to a boil over high heat.
Skim off the white foam frequently to ensure a clean taste, and turn off the heat once the ginger aroma has fully infused.
After cooling completely, store the finished sikhye in the refrigerator and serve chilled, including the rice grains.

Place cooled rice, water, and malt oil tea bags into the rice cooker and set to warm mode for 5–6 hours.
When rice grains begin to float, remove the tea bags and transfer the contents to a large pot.
Add sliced ginger and sugar, simmer while skimming off foam.
Chill thoroughly before serving cold.
