- Capellini pasta, 1 serving
- Korean melon, 1/2
- Onion, a little
- Olives, a little
- Scallions, a little
- Lemon, 1/2
- Perilla oil, generously
- Soy sauce, generously
- Sugar, 1 tbsp
- Sesame seeds, a little
- Salt, a little
Recipe 🍳
- Boil capellini pasta in salted water for 3 minutes, rinse under cold water, and drain well.
- Peel the Korean melon, cut in half, and strain the watery seed part to collect at least 1 tablespoon of melon juice.
- Thinly slice the Korean melon flesh and onion, halve the olives, and cut the scallions into 5cm lengths for easy eating.
- In a bowl, mix the collected melon juice with perilla oil, soy sauce, and 1 tablespoon of sugar to create a sweet and savory sauce.
- Combine the drained pasta with the sliced onion, olives, scallions, and the sauce, tossing gently to coat.
- Arrange the pasta and vegetables attractively in a serving bowl. Top generously with sliced Korean melon and sesame seeds. Finish with a squeeze of lemon juice, if desired.
- Boil capellini pasta for 3 minutes, rinse with cold water, and drain.
- Strain Korean melon seeds for juice, and prepare melon flesh, onion, olives, and scallions.
- Mix melon juice, perilla oil, soy sauce, and sugar to make the sauce.
- Gently toss the pasta with the prepared vegetables and sauce.
- Serve in a bowl, topped with melon slices, sesame seeds, and lemon juice.
