Ingredients needed 🛒1 servings
- egg 2 pieces
- rice 1 bowl
- onion 1/2 piece
- sugar 1 tablespoon
- soy sauce 2 tablespoons
- water 3~4 tablespoons
- oil-free tuna 1 can
- green chili 1 piece
- mayonnaise 2 tablespoons
- pepper a pinch
- vegetable oil a little
Recipe 🍳
- Heat a pan with a small amount of vegetable oil, crack in 2 eggs, and cook into a moist scrambled egg. Place it on top of hot steamed rice first.
- Slice 1/2 onion as thinly as possible to ensure even absorption of the soy sauce and a soft, chewy texture.
- In a pan, combine 1 tablespoon sugar, 2 tablespoons soy sauce, and 3–4 tablespoons water. Add the sliced onion and simmer gently until the liquid reduces.
- Continue cooking until the onion is fully softened and the sauce has completely reduced. Evenly spread this mixture over the scrambled egg on the rice.
- In a bowl, mix 1 can of drained tuna with 1 finely chopped green chili and 2 tablespoons mayonnaise until well combined, creating a spicy and savory tuna mayo.
- Gently place the seasoned tuna mayo on top of the rice bowl in an appealing manner, then lightly sprinkle pepper over the entire dish.
- Make a scrambled egg with 2 eggs in a greased pan and place it on rice.
- Simmer sliced onion in soy sauce, sugar, and water until all moisture evaporates, then place it over the egg.
- Mix drained tuna with chopped green chili and mayonnaise, place on top, and sprinkle with pepper.
Cooking tips 💡
- Squeeze out as much oil as possible from the tuna to prevent the mayo mixture from becoming greasy and to preserve its rich, nutty flavor.
- The sharp bite of green chili cuts through the richness of the tuna mayo, leaving a clean, refreshing finish.
- Stir constantly over medium heat while reducing the onion sauce to avoid burning and ensure all moisture evaporates.
