🙋 Recommended for

  • Those who want to make healthy and light handmade chocolate without heavy cream
  • People preparing a super simple no-oven dessert gift for Valentine's Day or a special occasion
  • Those who want to use leftover tofu in a unique dessert

Ingredients needed 🛒2 servings

  • 3 regular store-bought chocolate bars (about 150-180g)
  • 1/2 block of store-bought tofu
  • Cocoa powder, generously

Recipe 🍳

  1. Unwrap the store-bought chocolate and break it into small pieces into a microwave-safe container.
  2. Microwave the chocolate for about 2 minutes until fully melted, then stir with a spoon to smooth out any lumps.
  3. Take half a block of tofu, lightly pat off excess moisture, then place it on a fine sieve and mash it through with a spoon or chopsticks until it becomes a soft, silken tofu consistency.
  4. Add the strained soft tofu to the melted chocolate and mix thoroughly until no granules are visible and the mixture becomes thick and sticky.
  5. Prepare a square airtight container or mold of appropriate size, lining it carefully with plastic wrap.
  6. Pour the chocolate mixture into the lined mold, flatten the top, then cover and refrigerate for 1 hour to set.
  7. Once the chocolate is firm, lift it out using the plastic wrap, then dust both the bottom and top of the chocolate with cocoa powder.
  8. Using a knife, cut into neat bite-sized squares, then coat all sides with additional cocoa powder to finish.
  1. Break the chocolate and microwave for 2 minutes until fully melted.
  2. Strain the tofu through a fine sieve and mix with the melted chocolate until it becomes sticky.
  3. Pour into a lined mold, refrigerate for 1 hour, then dust with cocoa powder and cut into pieces.

Cooking tips 💡

  • When straining the tofu, do not squeeze out too much moisture, so it mixes smoothly with the chocolate.
  • When cutting the chocolate, lightly heat the knife over a flame or dip it in hot water and wipe dry to achieve clean cuts without crumbling.
  • After cooking, pour warm milk into the remaining chocolate in the container and mix to enjoy as a smooth hot chocolate.
