Ingredients needed 🛒2 servings
- 2~3 potatoes
- A generous amount of tomato spaghetti sauce
- A generous amount of mozzarella cheese
- 1 slice of cheddar cheese
- An appropriate amount of cooking oil
Recipe 🍳
- Wash the potatoes clean, peel them, and roughly chop them into appropriate sizes so they cook quickly in the microwave.
- Place the chopped potatoes in a microwave-safe container, sprinkle a spoonful or two of water lightly, then cover with plastic wrap or a lid and microwave for 5–6 minutes until fully cooked.
- After checking that a chopstick goes in smoothly, mash the potatoes finely without lumps using a spoon or potato masher while they are still hot.
- Knead the mashed potatoes gently to form a dough that can be shaped into a round base or a uniformly cohesive base.
- Spread cooking oil evenly over the bottom of a frying pan and preheat. Then place the mashed potato dough on it and press it down firmly to spread it into a thick, flat, round shape that fits the pan.
- Spread a generous and even layer of tomato spaghetti sauce over the top of the potato dough, according to your preference.
- Top generously with mozzarella cheese, leaving no empty spots. Then, to add flavor and color, tear the cheddar cheese slice by hand and scatter it here and there.
- Close the pan lid completely, reduce the heat to low, and heat until the cheese melts gently and the bottom of the potato becomes crispy.
- When the cheese is fully melted, turn off the heat, gently shake the pan to loosen, and slide it neatly onto a plate to serve.
- Chop the potatoes into appropriate sizes, microwave for 5–6 minutes, and mash them finely while hot.
- In an oiled pan, spread the mashed potatoes widely and flatly to make the dough.
- Top with tomato sauce and the two kinds of cheese, cover with a lid, and melt the cheese over low heat.
Cooking tips 💡
- If the potatoes cool down, they become hard and difficult to mash, so mash them immediately right after taking them out of the microwave while they are hot to keep them smooth.
- Since the potatoes are already fully cooked, just wait until the cheese on top melts softly when heating.
- You can add canned corn, ham, or bacon as toppings according to your taste to enjoy a more varied pizza flavor.
