Ingredients needed 🛒1 servings
- udon noodles 1 pack (including liquid broth and solid seasoning)
- bacon 150g
- garlic 1 handful
- milk 1 cup
- green chili 1–2 peppers
- pepper to taste
Recipe 🍳
- Dice the bacon and cook it in a pan until both sides are crispy and golden, rendering out the fat.
- Slice the garlic thinly and sauté it in the bacon fat until golden, bringing out its fragrance.
- Pour in 1 cup of milk, then add the udon noodles and all the solid seasoning from the noodle package.
- Use only 2/3 of the liquid broth packet and simmer over medium heat until the milk thickens into a creamy sauce.
- Just before turning off the heat, sprinkle with finely chopped green chili and a pinch of pepper, gently mixing to finish.
- Sauté diced bacon and sliced garlic in a pan until golden brown.
- Add milk, udon noodles, solid seasoning, and 2/3 of the liquid broth packet; simmer until the sauce reduces.
- Finish by sprinkling green chili and pepper for a spicy touch.
Cooking tips 💡
- Make sure to fully caramelize the garlic in the rendered bacon fat to infuse the entire cream sauce with deep, rich flavor.
- Add the green chili at the very end—adding it too early will cause the spicy aroma to dissipate, so keep it fresh and sharp.
