  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 3 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • A little water

Recipe 🍳

  1. Wash the cherry tomatoes and cut them in half lengthwise.
  2. Peel the orange and cut it into bite-sized pieces, similar to peach slices.
  3. Steam the whole squid in a pot without water or microwave it, then let it cool slightly and cut into bite-sized pieces.
  4. In a bowl, mix 1 tbsp sugar, 1 tbsp minced garlic, 1 tbsp soy sauce, 2 tbsp olive oil, 3 tbsp balsamic vinegar, a little sesame oil, and a little water to make the special dressing.
  5. Arrange the prepared cherry tomatoes, sliced red onion, squid, and orange beautifully on a plate.
  6. Drizzle the special dressing evenly over the salad and serve.
  1. Cut cherry tomatoes, orange, and red onion into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Cook the squid in a waterless pot or microwave, then slice it.
  3. Mix soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, garlic, sugar, etc. to make the dressing.
  4. Place vegetables, fruits, and squid on a plate, then drizzle with dressing.

Cooking tips 💡

  • Steaming the squid without water or microwaving it preserves its natural sweetness and umami, making it much tastier than boiling.
  • Adding a tiny bit of soy sauce and sesame oil to the balsamic vinegar creates a familiar and deep-flavored dressing that suits the Korean palate perfectly.
