Ingredients needed 🛒2 servings

  • Squid 1 piece
  • Zucchini 1 piece
  • Frying flour 1 cup
  • Water 1 cup
  • Cooking oil as needed

Recipe 🍳

  1. Slice the zucchini thinly and round, then cut into fine strips of even thickness.
  2. Bring a pot of water to boil, add the whole squid, and blanch very briefly.
  3. Immediately transfer the blanched squid to cold or ice water, cool completely, then remove and pat dry.
  4. Chop the cooled squid into bite-sized pieces.
  5. In a bowl, combine the sliced zucchini, chopped squid, 1 cup frying flour, and 1 cup water. Gently mix to form a batter.
  6. Heat a pan with generous cooking oil, pour in the batter, and spread it thinly and evenly.
  7. Fry on both sides, flipping occasionally, until golden and crisp on the outside.
  1. Slice zucchini thinly and finely.
  2. Blanch squid in boiling water, cool in cold water, then chop finely.
  3. In a bowl, mix zucchini, squid, frying flour, and water gently to form a batter.
  4. Pour the batter onto an oiled pan and spread thinly.
  5. Fry until both sides are golden and crisp.

Cooking tips 💡

  • Blanching the squid beforehand prevents moisture from leaking during frying, helping maintain crispiness throughout.
  • Avoid over-mixing the batter—just combine ingredients until they’re well blended without making the mixture tough.
