Okjubu's Butter Mushroom Rice

Ingredients needed 🛒2 servings
- 1 handful of oyster mushrooms
- 2 shiitake mushrooms
- 2 bowls of warm rice
- 2 pats of butter
- half a handful of chives
- 5 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp gochugaru
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp water
Recipe 🍳
- Mix 5 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp gochugaru, 1 tbsp sugar, 1 tbsp minced garlic, 1 tbsp sesame oil, and 1 tbsp water. Add a generous amount of chopped chives to make the sauce.
- Cut the oyster mushrooms and shiitake mushrooms into bite-sized pieces.
- Heat a pan over low heat with a little oil, and sauté the oyster mushrooms and shiitake mushrooms separately to preserve their unique aromas.
- While sautéing, add a small amount of soy sauce to lightly season the mushrooms, then turn off the heat.
- Place warm rice in a bowl and add a pat of butter on top.
- Top with the sautéed mushrooms, generously cover with the chive sauce, let it steam briefly, then mix everything together before eating.
- Mix chives with the sauce ingredients to make the chive sauce.
- Sauté the prepared oyster mushrooms and shiitake mushrooms separately in a pan.
- Place butter and the sautéed mushrooms on top of warm rice.
- Generously top with chive sauce and mix well.
