Recipe

Slice 1 cheongyang chili pepper into thick, even pieces.
In a pot, add 500ml water, the Shin Ramyun dried noodles, powdered soup base, vegetable flakes, and seasoned vegetable oil all at once, then turn on the heat.
When the water starts to boil, add the sliced cheongyang chili pepper and 1 teaspoon lamb skewer seasoning, and stir well.
Gently loosen the noodles and boil for about 2 minutes 30 seconds, then reduce the heat to medium-low.
Crack 1 egg into the center of the broth without breaking the yolk, and use chopsticks to gently swirl the surrounding broth, lightly covering the egg with the noodles.
When the egg white turns white and cooks through from residual heat, transfer the noodles to a bowl first, then gently pour the egg, cooked like a suran (soft-poached egg), and the broth over the top to finish.

Put water and all ramyun ingredients in a pot and bring to a boil.
Add cheongyang chili pepper and lamb skewer seasoning, cook the noodles, then reduce the heat.
Place an egg in the center, cook it into a suran with residual heat, and serve in a bowl.

Cooking tips

Enjoy the clear, spicy broth and noodles first, then break the suran yolk in the middle and coat the noodles for two different flavors.
Since the lamb skewer seasoning contains salt, if you want a more generous, refreshing broth, increase the water to 580–600ml.
