Ingredients needed 🛒2 servings
- 2 large potatoes
- 2 tablespoons minced garlic
- 250ml heavy cream
- a pinch of salt
- adequate amount of ketchup or tomato sauce
- generous amount of mozzarella pizza cheese
- a little parmesan cheese powder
- a little olive oil
Recipe 🍳
- Peel the potatoes and cut them into suitable-sized pieces, then place in a microwave-safe dish.
- Add a pinch of salt and 1 tablespoon of minced garlic to the potato pieces, then lightly coat with olive oil.
- Cover the dish with its lid and microwave until the potatoes are soft and easily crumbled.
- Pour 250ml of heavy cream into a pan and bring to a boil. Once boiling, add 1 tablespoon of minced garlic and a pinch of salt, then simmer until the sauce thickens.
- Mash the cooked potatoes thoroughly with a fork, mix in the reduced cream sauce, then spread a thin layer of ketchup on top.
- Sprinkle generously with mozzarella pizza cheese and parmesan cheese powder, then microwave again to melt the cheese.
- Finish by lightly charring the cheese surface with a torch to give it a golden, slightly smoky aroma.
- Cook chopped potatoes with salt, garlic, and olive oil in the microwave, then mash them.
- Boil heavy cream with garlic and salt to create a thick sauce.
- Mix mashed potatoes with cream sauce, ketchup, and cheese, then melt in the microwave and finish with a torch.
Cooking tips 💡
- If you don’t have a torch for charring the cheese, you can use an air fryer instead of the microwave for the final step.
- The cream sauce must be reduced sufficiently—do not let it remain too runny; it should be thick enough to blend smoothly with the potatoes.
- For added texture, mix in corn kernels or roasted bacon bits according to your preference.
