Recipe

Thinly slice the onion and clean the clams by purging them.
Heat cooking oil in a pan, add the sliced onion, and sauté until translucent to bring out its sweetness.
Add the purged clams and enough water to just cover the bottom of the pan. Cover and cook until the clams open.
Once the clams open, remove only the clams and set them aside to prevent them from becoming tough.
Add more water to the remaining clam broth, then add the dried kalguksu noodles directly and bring to a boil.
When the noodles are cooked and the sauce thickens from the starch, return the reserved clams to the pan and toss.
Turn off the heat, drizzle with perilla oil, and toss well to combine. Transfer to a plate and serve.

Sauté onion, then add clams and water. Cook until clams open, then remove the clams.
Add more water to the broth, add dried kalguksu noodles, and simmer until thickened.
Add the reserved clams and perilla oil, toss, and serve.
