Ingredients needed 🛒1 servings
- pork 150~200g
- kimchi 2~3 tablespoons
- bean sprouts 1 handful
- sugar 0.5 tablespoon
- ssamjang 1 tablespoon
- tonkatsu sauce 1 tablespoon
- rice 1 bowl
- sesame powder to taste
- egg 2 pieces
- salt a pinch
- mozzarella cheese 1 handful
- vegetable oil a little
- parsley powder a little
Recipe 🍳
- Lightly coat a pan with vegetable oil, then sear the pork on both sides until golden brown, then cut into bite-sized pieces.
- Push the cooked pork to one side of the pan, then use the rendered pork fat to sauté finely chopped kimchi, bean sprouts, and half a tablespoon of sugar together.
- Once the vegetables are wilted, add one tablespoon of ssamjang and one tablespoon of tonkatsu sauce, mixing thoroughly while stirring.
- Add one bowl of rice and sesame powder, stirring continuously to ensure even distribution of seasoning without clumps.
- Mound the fried rice in the center of the pan in a mountain-like shape, then pour a mixture of salt and mozzarella cheese into the empty space around the edges.
- Sprinkle parsley powder on top, cover with a lid, and gently warm over low heat until the egg and cheese are softly set.
- Sear the pork until golden, then sauté kimchi, bean sprouts, and sugar in the pork fat.
- Season with ssamjang and tonkatsu sauce, then mix in rice and sesame powder for even coating.
- Mound the rice in the center, pour the cheese-egg mixture around the edges, and cook covered over low heat.
Cooking tips 💡
- When using fatty cuts like belly pork, skip the initial oil for a cleaner taste.
- If bean sprouts are unavailable, they can be omitted; if ssamjang is not available, gochujang can be used as a substitute.
- To prevent burning and ensure the egg and cheese are evenly soft throughout, always use the lowest possible heat and keep the lid on.
